About the Author Ann McClain Roher holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees in English and has enjoyed a 27-year career teaching honors research and writing for high school seniors. Concurrent with her teaching career, Ann was also a successful freelance journalist. Now retired, she is currently a public speaker and continues to write and to observe the natural world from a spiritual perspective, spurred by her emergence as a breast cancer survivor. Ann McClain Roher (Hanowah) is a member of the Wolf Clan of the Seneca Nation.
